Dear Members,
I am glad to inform you that
Shri E. Selvaraj, Chairman, Dept. of Inspection and Investigation,
MCA addressed our members on the topic ‘Limited Liability
Partnership’ (LLP) on 21st August, 2010 at SIRC Premises,
Chennai. This programme was well attended by members in large number
and the interaction session was very lively.
We have taken up the onerous responsibility
of conducting two mega events, one being the National Cost Convention
– 2011 which has been slated on 6th, 7th and 8th of January,
2911 at Hotel Le Royal Meridien, Chennai. You may aware that the
Southern Region will be getting this opportunity once in four years
only on a rotational basis and the last National Cost Convention
was held at Chennai during the year 2003. After a lapse of 8 years,
SIRC has been entrusted with this responsibility this time and I
seek the support of each and every one of you to make this event
a grant success and at the same time the most memorable one.
Along with the National Cost Convention,
your Regional Council will take up organizing the Regional Cost
Convention as well at Madurai on 29th and 30th October, 2010. I
request the members to take part in large numbers in this event
also to make it as a trend-setter for the forthcoming National Cost
Convention – 2011. The Sub Committees of the NCC and the RCC
are engaged in finalising the themes for the events, which will
be very shortly communicated to you.
Turning towards members segment, it has been
our endeavour to conduct quite a good number of programmes on various
topical themes not only in the metropolitan city of Chennai but
also at the rest of places in the entire Southern Region. We wish
to reassure the younger generation of professionals by providing
them ample scope in different areas like Central Excise, GST, and
Service Tax etc.
Today, students are groomed as young talented professionals and
in this regard we intend to provide more facilities to them. To
update and fine tune their skill sets, a good number of books will
be added to the library as well as a Grievance Cell has been created
so that students will feel free to ventilate their view points.
The Chairman of the Regional Council can
be contacted by students through email for which sufficient intimation
slips have been displayed at SIRC office. At the same time, they
are advised to take the normal routine channel initially and only
in the unlikely event of their grievances were not addressed, they
may approach the Chairman.
With this introductory note I request the
members to extend their full support to the new team for carrying
out the tasks assigned to it in a most efficient manner. Members
may get in touch with the Chairman at any point of time at his direct
mobile no. 09894441510
With warm regards,
Dr.I.Ashok
Chairman
